I have been slacking.

Donald is never very talkative, and sent few pictures so I never posted. He is doping great though and wrote a longer letter today. I have posted a group of pictures on face book. Ron

Well today I got the opportunity to open my mission call. Before I opened it all I could think was the old primary song I used to sing. It goes I hope they call me on a mission when I have grown a foot or two. By then I hope I will be ready. Well tonight as I opened my call it read this.

Dadddd yoooo!!!

 We had a busy week, we set a goal this past week to have 30 lessons, and we knew we could reach it especially with the car, and with heavenly fathers help we were able to have 31 lessons it was great, we were pretty bummed that we didn't find a new investigator this week but we are excited for the week to come to find new people. Our investigator Susan from Kenya Africa passed her baptismal interview this week as well, we are so excited for her this Saturday coming. She was so prepared its great. We also went on a exchange this week with a team that is in my district, and we had a lot of fun his name is Elder Manwaring from boise Idaho, its like his 4th week in the field, it was really good to work with him and help him out hes a good missionary. I had to do quite a lot of running around for missionaries this week since we had the car, taking them to other areas and dentist appointments and so forth. This week just flew bye, this is the last full week of the transfer, we have transfer calls next week so I will be emailing on Tuesday. The transfers for me just literally go bye so fast I blink and its gone. Im also going on another exchange this week with one of the zls im going there it should be a lot of fun. Thanks for all the prayers I really appreciate it love yaaaa!!!

Happy April Fool's Day

Got a little bit of conversation out of Donald today. He does not say a lot, but always sends a lot of pictures. I will try to start posting more on facebook since it can be so slow here.  Ron

I'm getting transferred tot the Scotland/Ireland Mission!!!! President said they need me on special assignment!!!! ahhhhh APRIL FOOLS!!!! I'm staying another transfer in Leeds 3 6 months in Leeds 3!!! I'm excited to be with elder barrows again, its gonna be way good, its a 5 week transfer this time so it will go bye so fast. We are also moving in with the assistants to the pres. on the 15th of April, that should be interesting ahah we are in the same ward so we would be saving a lot of money living in one house. My provisional license should be here any day now so when that happens I can start taking driving lessons, I've been studying for the theory test, Ill probably take that test soon hopefully I pass on the first try ahah. It should be fun driving on the other side:) Less actives have been so good, we have reactivated 4-6 less actives since I've been here in Leeds 3 ward it is great. We have a new investigator from Kenya Africa who is so good, her name is Susan, we are so excited for her shes scheduled to be baptized on the 3rd of May. We have many long term investigators who struggle with addictions or need to be married but with faith and hope and helping them each day, they will get there. I cant believe its general conference already it feels like we had it just yesterday, time is going so fast year mark right around the corner I cant believe it at all its going too fast ahaha Well thanks for everything I love you thank you for all the prayers!!!!

I have been slacking

Sorry everyone. I get busy with job chasing and get depressed, and this doesn't seem to happen. Been a couple of weeks. Donald had a birthday this past Sunday. It seems to have been a good time for him.  Ron

 I am 20 so weird ahah President Pilkington called me and wished me a happy bday and said Elder McGinnis your not a teen anymore, good things are gonna happen now ahaha it was so funny, I had such a wonderful birthday, thanks for helping the McKewons a lil, I was shocked with all the pictures ahaha I love the McKewons so much they made my birthday wonderful, they make me feel part of the family, I will never forget my 20th bday. I just want to thank you and mum so much for raising me and being such wonderful parent I love you both very much, I don't know if you both realize how much I do appreciate all that you have done and do for me. 19 years dad I always remember how many years for you it makes me so happy dad that you have had that change of heart and been sober that long I am so greatful you made that decision, without that choice I may not of been here in England, and since you did make that choice I am having the most wonderful time of my life. I'm jealous of the weather you are having ahah I still always cold here ahah its warming up a lil, with the sun out a lil more, it makes people a lil more happy ahah its great. I love the people here, they are so good, I love being able to talk to them even though I don't them. We had a good week, Elder Barrows was sick in the beginning of the week but he got over it quickly, its horrible when your companion is sick ahaha you have  nothing to do. but it was only a day we were able to see many people this week, and work hard. Next week is transfers time flies bye so I will be emailing on Tuesday. We will see what happens, I would like to stay but we will see!!!!

March-Just passed 9 months-on the home stretch for one year.

 It has been a really good week, flew bye like always, we had zone conference on Tuesday and pres pilko always gives great instruction as well as his wife. He asked us to pick certain things we want to see change in ourselves and next time we have our interview with hi to see if we have improved in those things. I love seeing the changes that happen in my life as I focus on things I want to change relying on heavenly father. We have been teaching a lot, it is great, we were able to find 2 new investigators this week which was a miracle. We have a big teaching pool at the moment our next steps are have the investigators come regularly to church and baptism, the hardest ones, but things we can help them do. The people are wonderful out here, I love them, at times really stubborn but wonderful aha. Working with less actives is going so good, we are able to see many throughout the week, and it is a wonderful thing to see them come back to church and feel of the spirit. It was funny yesterday at church for fast Sunday Elder Barrows bore his testimony, because he is new in the ward and he got up and loudly said ALOHA, and I said it back and was the only one in the whole congregation, it was so funny ahaha everyone looked at me probably thinking I was crazy aha and he did it one more time and a few more people joined in. I am excited for this new coming week a lot more people to teach and to help many come unto Christ. Thank you so much for the prayers!

Sorry everyone for being slow. I am looking for work, so this hasn't been a high priority, plus Donald does not say much.

He has had some good times with some members cooking. Is making friends with some less active young people, working hard, and seems to be having a wonderful time with animals.

So last week it was a lizard, this week it seems he has found a new friend. Bet the bird would like the lizard, for dinner that is. Ron

What a blow out I heard that is crazy ahah it was kinda weird not watching the super bowl but it was okay aha we had another super busy week, we actually got to teach one of our investigators at president Pilkingtons home which was great, he is a wonderful man and has such a strong spirit. We have been working really hard, we got to teach 28 lessons this week it was amazing, the weeks just go by so fast, especially when you are having fun its great. I feel that my finding skills improve each day trying to talk to everyone, I love it, it honestly helps you grow as a person as you put your heart in the work and forgetting yourself, charity and love is wonderful to take to others. Fast Sunday was great, Matthew Rushworth who has autism bore his testimony on a missionary experience he had, it was so great he made my day, I couldn't resist not going up and bearing mine, something just pushed me up aha I love the mission so much it makes me so happy especially the gospel. couple more weeks then transfers cant believe it! love you!!!!

Trying again

Been a few weeks. I get frustrated when it doesn't let me put the pictures on. I downloaded a different browser to see if it will work, so here it goes. Ron

 Time is definatley flying by, its crazy let me tell you aha this week has been good, except the rain ahah it rains literally everyday I have been drenched through 2 pairs of thermals ahah it started snowing this week as well but it hasnt stuck to the ground. When the wind blows the rain and the snow it hurts so bad aha its good though. We were quite busy this week and were able to find another 2 new investigators, many mairacles are happening, we should be having a baptism very soon! It is so wonderful to be able to share the gospel to everyone we come in contact with. We also had interviews with President Pilkington, it went very well, he is such a great guy I love him so much.This next week should be another good one, I am really looking forward to it with more things to do!
